    Form size ???

I know I can set height/width and so, but I just want the size to fit the space for HEADER + DETAILSECTION + FOOTER !

Now it's more by chance that I get the right size of the form and I'm so sick and tired of this malfunction - it has never work for me !

How are "best practice" here ?

Can't you just maximize it and let user have all the space?

Is the form in Single Form view or Continuous Forms view?

You are NOT trying to print the form, are you?

Can you post an image of what you mean?

    Oh, some one answered - why wasn't I noticed by E-mail ?

Anyway THX for the answer ....

I like my forms to ONLY be so big they can "frame" the HEADER+DETAIL+FOOTER and autamically make space for the vertival scrollbar -if needed.

I think I remember 10-20 years back that some special practice when saving could do that - but I forgot it !

Today I can't get my forms to present "nicely" on screen ... they are too big or small ... seldom "right on the money" (=HEADER+DETAIL+FOOTER + scrollbar)

Change the settings in Access options from Tabbed documents to Overlapping Windows.
Save the form the size you want and it will reopen at that size.
If you have issues with different monitor size or different resolutions, use automatic form resizing

You are using Single Form mode? If you put "DoCmd.Maximize" in the form load event, the form will fill the screen. Using "DoCmd.Maximize" affects all forms that are open, so you should use "DoCmd.Restore" to return the forms back to the default size.
Of course, this only works if you are NOT using tabbed documents - they are always maximized.
