    combobox filter

    i have not seen my questions so i'm safe to ask, i'm working on a database that requires a combo filter box. When you pick a item from the combo box (lets say an apple) there are 34 entries for apple, but it just goes to the first entry for apple then back to banana and orange. how do i get it so that it shows me all the entries for apple only? not just the first entry. and when i switch the combo box to banana it will show all the entries for banana? confidential information, so i'm not able to share any part of the code. thanks in advance if anyone can help

    I'm confused, are you trying to filter a combo box by another combo box, or the form by a combo box? The first:

    If the second, you can set either the filter property of the form or its record source in the after update event of the combo.

    No problem, post back if you get stuck. This type of thing, presuming the value is text like your example:

    Me.Filter = "FieldName = '" & Me.ComboName & "'"
    Me.FilterOn = True

    so I have a database that the entries are coming from. I have one combo box that I want to filter the entries in the table. so whatever is in that combo box if that makes sense, not a combo box to a combo box. my combo box name is combo73 that i want the entire form to filter too. whats in the column is assigned manager.

    That's what the code I gave in post 4 does. The "me" in "Me.Filter" is the form.
