Blank Space with Sub-Report on Main Report

I have a sub-report inside a Main Report. The sub-report can have anywhere from 1 line to 10 lines, and it seems that for every line the sub-report has, it is adding a blank line on the Main Report after each record. I have tried many settings, can-shrink, can-grow, I've decreased as much space as possible, but I cannot get rid of the blank space. It is very strange because it is clearly tied to the number of rows in the sub-report, but I can't figure out how it would be creating extra rows in the Main report. Attached is a screen shot so you can see what I'm talking about. Any ideas??

Hmm, what is the recordsource of the main report and the subrepport. If they are sharing the same recordource then yes,it is adding a record to your main report because it exists in the recordsource. So, if this is the case, I would make one query for the main report and another for the subreport and link them on the appropriate field.
