    importing data into form

    Hi,

Im new to access. I have 2 seperate databases. I have to make entries in one database using an already made form. Some of the data in the form is present in the other database. Now im manually copying and pasting it. Is there a way to automatize this without make a new form. thanks in advance!

Note that you can link the tables from one database to the other.
So, you could do that, along with some queries, which may help you do what you are trying to do (especially using action queries like Append or Update Queries, which will write information to the Tables).

That description is a bit to generic to provide specific details.
I would need to know the specifics of the pertinent database object, i.e., of what the tables/forms look like in each database, and what fields are coming from what tables on your form.

Most specifically, where all the different fields on this form are coming from, and is there any relationship between the different tables that the data is coming from.

You do understand that tables store data, not forms?
Forms (and reports) allow you to view the data in the tables. Forms also allow you more control about how and what data is entered into tables. Using forms, you can validate the data as it is entered.

    Good luck with your project......
