Question Results of on field based on results of another

I'm new to the forum and new to access, so please forgive me if I'm duplicating a question and have no idea of the correct terminology. I'm trying to set up a gradebook for multiple years and subjects. I have tables for students, school year, courses, I will have numerous tables for assignments (one for each subject) and one for grades.

I would like to have a Grade form which I can select a student from a list, then their grade level, then the course. The next field would be for assignments. I would like only the assignments for the selected course to show up in a drop down list. How do I go about achieving this.

    Thank you!
    Michael

I'm sure it probably would help but that is all Greek to me. Is there a dummy guide that would walk me through that.
