Access 2016 ODBC SQL Server Connection with TLS 1.2

our organization is wanting to disable tls 1.0 and 1.1 on all of the servers. Our access application currently has custom vba coding that uses an odbc connection to the sql server 2012. When we disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 the connection fails. the access database resides on a network share and all of the users have shortcuts on their desktops. It works great, but I have looked at other drivers except they would have to be installed on all of the client machines? or would it work if we installed it on the file server? Thoughts?

you don't actually need to create a DSN to connect to an ODBC database. Is that where your problem lies that the ODBC connector becomes confused/broken? or are we talking about a different issue?
