Import from Excel works for backend but validation error for frontend

Hi i'm fairly new to access, i'm designing a system where users can upload their data into a simple table that can be queried and so forth.

When they try to upload from the frontend i get this error "you cannot record your changes because a value you entered violates the settings defined.."

When I import from the Backend that they don't access to, it works first time no error.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it. So far i have tried pasting the raw data to a new book in Excel and the import works but this isn't practical.

    Thanks

even in a front end you can import into a backend table.
Instead of guessing, link the XL table as an external file (table)
create an append query that adds data from the XL table to the target BE table. (you can see each field and where it is going)

then you just overwrite the new XL file over the old (ie. c:\temp\File2Import.xls)
    then run the append query.
