Referencing record number (from query) in a formula for a report

I have a printed form that I have recreated as a Report in Access Office 365. Unfortunately, the data is arainged in columns instead of rows.

I have a query that pulls the data I need and created a row number.

How can I pull the data from Row 1 and put it in unbound fields in the first column of the report?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You're saying the query output needs to be horizontal rather than vertical? For tank Number you have 5 empty columns/fields but only show 3 tanks - or is that just because the query pic only shows 3? I think you're indicating that your query needs to be a crosstab query so that vertical is transposed to horizontal. If that is the case, be aware that such a query has to be set up so that it always returns the same fields, otherwise the report will error.

    Micron,

Thanks for your reply. The number of tanks can vary from one to five depending on the site. I've had limited success with crosstab queries in the past and could not make this work for what I was trying to do.

However, I have figured out a different way to accomplish what I needed using DLookups in my query.

Thanks for your help which made me think about what I was doing in a different way.

Have to assume that means you didn't try setting the Columns property values or that you did and it didn't work. In any event, glad you were able to solve it with so little input from me.
