    Ok. I'm not following where your accessing "Properties/protection/advanced/proprietary". When the DB is open? When I right click on the .mdb file itself, I goto properties and get the usual General, security and summary tabs but do not see anything referencing "protection" Let me know where your accessing this property. Thanks.

    which OS do you have?

    I have XP Professional and here it how it works for me:

    from the same PC where the xxx_be.mpg is stored:
    right click on the file - go to properties
    you should have the "general, followed by the "protection" label
    click the "protection" where you see who has any authorization and which kind
    on the bottom right corner you should have "advanced", if you click on it
    then you can choose then even to add the single PC's name and its different kind of authorization.

    Let me know if it is clear enough. In which language is setted your system?

    Ok, thats what I thought. I'm using XP and English language. My tabs show Security tab not protection and that was throwing me off. Thought maybe I was looking in the wrong location. Will see if it works. Thanks.
