Autokeys shortcut to go to design view

    Hi There

It's been a while and a few versions of Access since I was building systems, but the time has come to dust off my skills. I have a simple database that uses an 'Autokeys' macro to perform a shortcut to the design view as follows:

Name:	autokeys designview.JPG
Views:	11
Size:	20.5 KB
ID:	39238

Has this method changed, as it now doesn't work? Any help would be appreciated, as I'm having to close the database and open using the shift key every time I want to enter the design view.

    Thanks

    Steve

I don't use macro's so can't advise. I suspect it has been deprecated since it looks like one of the old style commands for 2003 and earlier.

if the navigation window is hidden, hit F11 to display it.

If you right click on the form tab if using tabbed documents or window bar if not, you should see a shortcut menu where you can select design view. There is also a layout view option which can be set in the form properties under the format tab so you can inspect and change properties, edit code etc
