Make a field disappear based on a checkbox

Is there a way to make a field disappear from the form based on a checkbox? I would think there would be a way but haven't found the solution.

    Or simply Me.YourControlName.Visible = Not Me.NameOfCheckbox
    assuming checked means invisible.
