    Repot Totals Not Calculating Properly

i'm trying to run a report with the daily totals and it doesn't seem to be calculating properly. I'm using the Sum function in the ribbon tool bar. Posted an image to try and show what is going on. The total box count comes from the box count of each of the sections (and is calculated elsewhere as we need it before we run the report). the big things I need working is the total value for the day and the total boxes for the day.

Try =Sum(fieldname) in textbox instead of the Sum on ribbon.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Hi June7, I"m going to get you a copy of the DB for analysis this weekend. I've figured out what is happening, I'm just not sure how to get around it.

I've got 2 tables, one for "Jobs" which contain all the necessary information for the job, and one for "Sections" which contain the sections of each job (which could be one or many). It seems it is calculating the totals by adding the value in for each line of the sections beyond one section.

Is there a way to break this up so I can still show each section for each job, but not have the values calculated for those lines?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
