    Question Cricket appearances query

    Hi,
I have inherited an Access Database which records details of my cricket clubs matches in order to, primarily, produce batting and bowling averages.
There are three tables - Fixtures(to give date of each match), Players (just names) and Scoreboard (date of match - 11 times, names of the 11 players and batting/bowling/fielding details).

There are then three queries - Batting average, bowling average and fielding stats.
This all works fine. What I need help to produce is a query which will give number of appearances in a given season (year) since not all players will bat in every game they play. Ideally this would give me a list of all player names and a number, nothing more.
Any assistance would be much appreciated

So Scoreboard lists player even if they did not bat? Provide sample data. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Try an aggregate query. Review https://www.teachucomp.com/aggregate...cess-tutorial/

Or build a report and use its Sorting & Grouping features with aggregate calcs. Report allows display of detail records as well as summary data.
