List of people in a report

I am building a report from a bunch of queries. I need each query to be a list in a report under a manually built header. When I choose "last name" and "first name" and put them where I want them in my report and view it, it lists only one person. If I try to put "last name" and "first name" again under the first one, it just repeats the person's name. I hope I explained that well enough.

    Thank you!

It sounds like you need multiple subreports, each based on one of the queries. With the name fields in the detail section, you should get a row for each record returned by the query.

What do you mean by "building a report from a bunch of queries"? A report can have only 1 query as RecordSource. Perhaps you need subreports.

Exactly where do you put textboxes for name fields?

How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

The subreport looks like the query with all the columns, not what I wanted it to look like. Can a subreport just put in the text? The Wizard never came up to guide me through it.

I was able to put the subreport in, but it still only shows one person.

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

I don't know how to do all that with giving you a copy of the db.

I did see that each person now has their own page with the same header at the top of the page. How do I get that to stop?

Have you tried shortening the detail section? You can also group and sort your data.
Its hard to picture what you want without seeing it or a better description.

I did a screen shot of what it looks like. You can see where under A PMA 1209_B it should list Amezcua, Hanson, Hutchings etc. have their own header. I need all those guys under one header.
Maybe the issue is too many headers, instead of page breaks.

See June's signature in post #6 --it shows the link to info on attaching a file to your post.
Readers need to see/have a working example to assist in resolving your issue.
    Good luck.

I figured it out. I had the shop roation and the foreman names in the Detail area, so it was showing for each. Thank you.
