4 based on 3 based on 2 based on 1

I am trying to get options in four drop boxes to be basedon the previous drop box.

    DB01: CONTINENT
    DB02: COUNTRY
    DB03: STATE
    DB04: CITY

So If I chose North America in DB01 then DB02 will onlyshow countries in North America; then I select United States in DB02 and thengo to DB03 it will only show states in the United States, Then I select NewYork in DB03 then move to DB04 and only cities in New York State will beavailable.

I have a fairly good understanding of access but I amstill at a lost when it comes to some (or rather most) of the complex coding parameters. So any help would be appreciated

what you want is commonly referred to as "cascading combos". Did you try searching on that, because there's tons of examples?

There is an example of cascading combo boxes at http://www.mendipdatasystems.co.uk/c...xes/4594455723

    Thanks
Now another dropdown question. One of the forms needs tofilter the current record displayed based on two drop downs.
    DD01: select the department
DD02: only shows those that work in the selected department.Once you select a person then their record is displayed. And I would preferthey be alphabetized
