    user log in question

I have OFFICE installed on our office computers and i'm wondering if the performance is effected anyway if a user doesn't sign in before using the programs (excel/word etc). what i'm seeing is my MSAccess performance (speed) drops dramatically as soon as another user opens their MSRuntime Front End application.

Sign in where? If this is a network then surely there is a network login.

Each user is running their own copy of db frontend installed on their computer?

on any of the MS programs WORD EXCEL etc top right corner is a place for the user to log in.
and yes each user has their own FE on their desktops linked to a common BE dbase.

I am not familiar with requirement to log in to any Office apps. I have never encountered this in work situation nor my private computer.

I think you are referring to logging into users' Microsoft account.
If so that's a feature in Office 365 related to the use of One Drive to save and retrieve files.

As such that will have absolutely no effect on the performance issue outlined in both this thread and the previous one - see link in post #3
