    Sorry, I missed a letter. It's ADODB or just ADO (ActiveX Database Objects). I never bothered to learn much of it as I was more comfortable with DAO. Good thing because M$ switched positions in that they were going to stop development of DAO, but instead, did so for ADO. Thus I never learned why the library is (mostly?) referred to as ADO yet the connection I was referring to that you might have is often written as

    Dim cn As ADODB.Connection
