JPG Attachments seem to display(flash) twice in my form

    Hello,

I hope somebody can help me. I have very little experience with Access, in fact I have just created one database to catalogue my banknote collection.
I have developed a form based on a query which displays banknote information together with the banknote image front and back.
As I scroll through the form the banknote images, JPG files display or flash twice. How can I stop this. In a prior version of my database the banknote images were PNG files and

this double displaying did not happen.
    Can somebody help.
    Thank you.

ms access not a great image displaying tool and it just sounds like you're experiencing an imaging artifact which I don't know that you'll be able to eliminate. Perhaps think about not displaying the images by default but having a button click to display the images when you need to rather than all the time.

Jpg files use a 'lossy' format. Try changing the files to png or bump format, both of which work far better with Access

Thank you for your response and sorry for not responding sooner. I have tried png and bmi formats but still get the same results. The only time the png format worked successfully was with a prior version
of the database. I created the png file using GIMP, a 560 x 270 template was created so each banknote had to be sized to fit the template, the size of each file ranged from 300 to 400 KB. Unfortunately the
problem with resizing banknotes is that many become distorted especially Canadian style notes and also notes that are square rather than rectangular. I thought that there may be some programmatic solution
to my current problem. Thank you again, I will just continue using the jpg formats.

Thank you for your response and sorry for not responding sooner. I really would prefer to display the images by default as this is really a catalogue of banknotes with descriptions and information about
each note, so I will just continue with the database as it is.
