Item not found in this collection .Fields(x) property

Ahh, another beautiful Item Not Found In this collection error! Love this error because its often incorrect. More time incorrect than correct.

I am receiving the error trying to get an arbitrary field from a recordset.

    Code:
    rs.fields(1)
Regardless of what number i put there, it refuses to cooperate. The recordset is real. It contains a recordset.count > 0. There is virtually no reason what so ever that access should be giving me this annoying error.

    Interested in your ideas.

    Thank you

    Update:

Still unsolved. If I am specific about the field name all is OK, if i use the index it fails. This is an absolute fail on JETs behalf right now. This has no justification for behaving like this.

    Solved. Unsure how honestly.

    Thanks.
