Ahh ok that makes sense. The other problem I am running into is the Events template has a macro or something running that automatically hides any event that is in the past. So I entered an event from 2 days ago and it was auto hidden from the Events list. Any idea how I can find out what is doing that? I tried toggling filters etc, but nothing came up.

You can open the db while holding down a <SHIFT> key to bypass any AutoStart code and then browse in design mode. As I said earlier, I'm not familiar with those templates.

Ok so I have a concept that could work. Right now I am just trying to find a way to be able to print a document that suits my needs.

Is there a way I can set up a Criteria in the query so that it uses a date from the current event I am looking at? So the query runs and when I am looking at an event....it checks the date of the event...and so I can print the results of the query AND the details of the event in one print...

    Is this possible?

I'll bet there is, but without knowing more I could not give you any useful directions.

The query builder knows how to reference any field in an *open* form. Have you tried it?

Right click in the Criteria row of a field column and go down to Build...

Oh ok. And can I print the results of the query and then the details of the event on one sheet? So if I open an event detail screen....the query will use that screen to run off that date. And if I click print on that screen it prints both the roster from the query and the details?

I don't think it is quite that easy but play with it a bit.

I think I actually got it. Very excited to see some progress. I have a subform on my Meeting form. The Meeting form allows me enter Meeting data...and subform displays the results of a query. The query itself, when run, displays the roster for people present at the date that is displayed on the Open form (which is the meeting being edited). So it ends up becoming an automatic loop....

Only problem I am having now is cleaning up the subform. The subform display is the basic query design, with record changers, scrollbars etc. I want to clean this up and make it so just the name and position are listed.... But at least the functionality is working correctly so far.

Ok I made the subform out of another custom form using the said query. Not too shabby now. Now what I have is a form that I can print....the form has fields to edit the Meeting information for each individual meeting. It also has a subform that automatically pulls data from the Students table to display all who were present.

How do I create a column in my query that displays the correct position though. I have the name and position columns displaying correctly, but the position column allows me to use a drop down box. I want it to just display the correct position of the member based on the data from the Student table roster.

Nevermind, I seem to be on a roll finding solutions for my problems. The form is set up perfectly, as is the report that prints from the form. I am getting used to the templates now and can manipulate them much easier. I think my final issue now is to figure out why my Event List form is hiding any event that is past the current date. Any passed events are hidden and I do not like that system at all.

If you want to zip up and post your db, someone could look at it and track down this issue.
