Top ten data points in graph

I have a column in my table that has roughly 25-30 different values. Anyway to get a line or pie graph to only show the top 10? Just would look cleaner

For the old style charts, go to design view, select your chart and click Edit.
Select the record source and add TOP 10 after SELECT.
OR if using a query, modify the query property sheet changing Select ...All to Top 10.

If using the 'modern' chart option, you may need to adapt slightly.

I'm in design view. There is no "edit" button anywhere to be found. Please be more specific on the instructions if you don't mind.

    Thx

Certainly but you'll need to tell me whether you are using 'modern' charts or the traditional charts as the instructions will be different.

I'm not exactly sure how to tell. I'm using Access 2016.

Basically when I go to make a chart, I create a blank report and then go to design view and then "insert chart".

Insert Chart on the Design toolbar is a 'modern chart.
There's a very similar looking button in the bottom row of the Controls toolbox on the same ribbon - that brings up the older style chart dialog which is very different.

Anyway... in design view click on your chart. The Chart Settings dialog will appear on the right.
Select Data Source & select the table or query you used.
Hopefully the Property Sheet will now be displayed. If not right click on the chart and select Properties at the bottom of the context menu.

On the property sheet, select the small ellipsis button (...) to the right on the Row Source line.
This should open your row source in SQL view - add TOP 10 after SELECT and click Close
Or ..in query design view, change the Top Values line to Top 10 in the query property sheet.

Hope that makes sense when you try it
