I'm looking to add an attachments window to my form. I want this to be record specific to where depending on a text box on the form, it tells it what record to put the attachment. This would be like if the user went to Case #4 and clicked attach, the attachment would be added to Case #4 in the table (tblCase).

You realize using attachments could cause your db to fill up fast and possibly hit the size limit.
an alternative would be to save just the file paths. Users can still view the files.

    which do you prefer?

Embedding files in db can quickly use up Access 2GB file size limit. Usually better for files to remain external and save path string into text field.

Attachment type field is a kind of multi-value field. Programmatically adding data to these types of fields is complicated.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
