put in a report a table and a graph and generate them with the same query ( one access on DB)

    Hello,
I am a java programmer and completely newbie on access.
I would like to make a thing very simple (I think):
a report based on a parametric query made up of a table and a graph.

Probably I put the chart badly in the structure because access seems to want to generate a chart for each row of the table but I do not know how to do it.
I put the chart in the body of the report under the table header

Another thing: I would like to generate the report (the table and the graph) with a single query (the data are the same)
so that the user does has not to enter the data twice and even this thing I do not know how to do it....

    Can you please help me?

thanks a lot to all and sorry for my poor english and my little knowledge of microsoft access.
    Best regards.

    Gian Piero

Of course user inputs data only once. Report RecordSource and chart RowSource properties must be properly structured.

If chart is placed in detail section then it will certainly display for each record.

I can analyze chart issues better by working with data. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post. Identify the objects involved in issue.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
