    Need A97 mdb upgraded

    Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help.

I'm interested in looking at Stephen Lebans sample db, located here.

With only A2013 I can't open the file!!

I'm looking for a kind soul who may have an earlier version than A2013 that can convert for me.

    Instructions are here.

I'll say nice things about you

    Thanks

    swas

    You're welcome.
I haven't checked but wondered if similar code is built in to recent versions of Access.

    ridders52,

Not that I am aware. I'm particularly interested both freezing some columns and their width, without the user being able to change. It's only because some data I have displayed is best in datasheet format (Sorting, filtering etc...) as a subform.

However there is a bit of info in the parent that refers to a couple of particular columns - all lines up fine until the user scrolls accross the datasheet...

If you know of a solution I'd be interested. otherwise I will play with the file you converted, or just go continuous form view for the subform and leave filtering etc... in the ribbon.

    Thanks

    As I said, I haven't checked.
    I rarely use datasheet view.
Continuous forms give you far more control over the appearance and can do everything that's possible with datasheets
