Path Name of a Linked Table, How can I manually change Path Name

    Hi,

This is driving me nuts, I know in an old version of MS Access I could manually change the path name of a linked table from an Access database.

I've gone to Linked Table Manager, select and click on OK. All it does is say "All selected linked tables were successfully refreshed.", I want to manually change the path name from:

    P:\AccessDB\DailyPlanAccrProd\xDownTimeWeld_V30.ac cdb

    to

    P:\DailyPlanAccrProd\xDownTimeWeld_V30.accdb

I can't do it from the other computer because it has a run time version and the path names are different? I hope someone can help?

    Thanks,
    Xavier

There should be a checkbox for "Always prompt for new location". Checking that will allow you to navigate to the new location of the back end for the selected tables.

By the way, most of us would use a UNC path, just in case somebody doesn't have it mapped to the same letter on their computer.
