    Question regarding automatic printing

    Hi everyone,

I am completely new to Access and hope someone here can help me. The person that wrote the code for this database has left the company and I can't get in contact with him.

Our company has a database set up in Access to manage our jobs, when we receive a purchase order, I capture the information and it is set up to print three pages, the last two pages aren't being used anymore and is wasting a lot of paper. I want to remove the code/automation that prints the last two pages.

More information can be provided, any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks!

Providing an image of form is not really useful. We need to see code.
Do you know how to open objects in design view?
Do you know if the code is macro or VBA?
Do you know how to open the VBA editor?

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

    Thank you for the response,

I am a complete newbie regarding Access, so I don't know how to do any of those things or what they mean.
No one else at our office knows much about it either, that's why I came here to ask.

Ok, so I copy the whole folder containing the program, remove confidential data and attach the compressed file?
Is there a specific folder that contains the confidential data?

Access is event driven. What event triggers the printing (like the click event of a button)? Presuming it's a button, in design view of the form, double click on the button so you see the Properties window. On the events tab click on the ellipsis to see the macro or code. You can copy that here.

It it might also be something in the design view of the report if you want to show that.

To to get rid of confidential data you'd need to delete it from one or more tables. If you're unfamiliar with the app, it may not be obvious where it is. Whatever you do, make sure to back up the file or files. Often the data is in a separate file, what we call a back end.

Just to add to the above, to get to the design view, right click on the object and select "Design View"

Do you really expect to accomplish anything operating in a knowledge vacuum? Have you gone through an introductory tutorial book on Access? Any decent book will have a chapter on programming in Access. https://support.office.com/en-us/art...7-70649e33be4f
