    Opinions sought "Tweakbit"

    Hello world

I am seriously considering signing up for a contract with this company "Tweakbit". Cost is around $300.00 per annum.

I think this maybe part of the Nortons group, but I am not 100% sure.

I have purchased a couple of their programs and found them to be good. "Find Duplicates" is one. It scanned my hard drive and found all the duplicates I had. It then allowed me to delete what I wanted or I could put it on automatic and it would do the deletion for me.

I have allowed them to access my computer and what they did was amazing. I may know MS Access but the things that they did impressed me to the point of considering parting with my cold hard Cash.

The way my PC was running I was considering buying a new machine.

So I ask you good people, do you have any knowledge of "TWEAKBIT" either good or bad.

    Thanking You

    Rain

I tend the shy away from such products. Then I googled "Tweakbit" and found many of the hits were angry rants and instructions on trying to remove Tweakbit.

I read two review sites and both were filled with rants about how bad the company and program is. Can't get the billing to stop and program is no good.

I use the free versions of CCleaner and Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes does try and get you to buy the paid version by "giving" you a trial period.... I turn off those options.

Thanks for the help and sorry I have taken so long to get back to you.

I think you are right and that Tweakbit is not the way to go. I found that AVG offers a similar package. Choosing the right tools with AVG is a bit confusing.

I think I will have a look at CCleaner and Malwarebytes.

Once again thanks for the advice.
