    Import Wizard Not Working

I am trying to import an EXCEL file into a new table and want to be able to tell access which fields to index and which ones to ignore. However when I get to the step where I sould be able to select field options as I move my cursor/mouse over the field names the field name in the select field section will not change. If I manually try and change it the the first field name is changed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Access and that did not solve the problem so I am stuck. Any Advice?

    Another Route

    Hi,

I know this is a round-about way, but have you tried skipping the indexing section of the wizard and changing the indexing from the design view of the table?
