Cannot import data from Amazon Athena using ODBC

    Hi

I can grab data from an Athena table and put it into Excel. I'd like to be able to do the same for Access 2016, but I get an error message: Cannot open database ''. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.

I get to this point by:
    External Data/ODBC Database
I choose the correct Machine Data Source
I get a list of table names, and choose the relevant table.
I press 'OK' and wait. Some minutes later, I get the error message above.

    Appreciate any pointers.

    Regards
    Abo

Yes, but I hit the rows limit in Excel - that's my main reason for wanting to use Access.

How many records do you have? You might hit the Access file size limit of 2 GB. Have you considered linking the table instead of importing it?

    Cheers,
