Error: Don't know what to do
Hey everyone,
I've been working on forms for a while now in my database, and every once in a while my buttons stop working, and return this error message whenever I click on any of them:
"The expression OnClick you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: A problem occurred while Microsoft Office Access was communicating with the OLE Server or ActiveX control."
It also said: "*The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or [Event Procedure]."
I made all my buttons using the wizard, so I don't know very much about ActiveX, VBA, or anything that underlies what happens when a button is clicked. I tried deleting [Event Procedure] from AfterUpdate, but that just made the button stop working completely.
Sometimes when I close Access and open it again, the buttons start working. Sometimes they don't, though, and even though I enable all ActiveX/VBA/Code in the security settings, this kind of message still appears.
Does anyone know how to protect my buttons from this? I'd really like to have them work all the time, and I don't know what could be changing to cause them to stop working in this way. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!!!
