Angry Open Multiple forms in runtime access

    Dears,

I have a very irritating problem and would appreciate your assistance on. I have a simple access db with 3 forms, when I transform this to an exe application using the access runtime & developpers kit, it only shows one form of the three (one tab). I'm new to access but i've been digging the last couple of weeks and done a lot, but can't find anything about this issue all i can find is how to set a default form to be opened when the db is accessed. I need to allow users to see the different built forms and access any of them.

Over and above i've also noticed that access 2010 give the option of having a navigation form, is this doable in 2007?

I am also interested in the answer as I am trying to create the same things. I have at least 3 forms that need to be accessed and can only bring up the one.

not sure about the runtime issue but if by "navigation form" you mean the switchboard manager, then yes, its doable in 2007 as well as previous versions.

    Hi tifa:

an easy solution without any programming:
    1. Create a new form with just 3 buttons (no code or macro).
    * Show the property sheet of button1
    * Go to the tab "Format"
    * Fill in the name of the first form you want to show in the Caption property
    * Click in the same tab the property "Hyperlink address"
    * Click on the button with 3 dots
    * In the window "Insert Hyperlink" click in the left bar on "Object in this database"
    * Choose forms and the form you want to open
    * Click OK

    2. Repeat this for all three buttons you created.
set this wform as the openening form of your application.

    3. The users vcan now access any of your form by clicking one of the buttons.

    succes

I figured it out! You can also make it where they can open reports based on queries that were created. Use the Switchboard Manager. You can then create mulitple forms that will open and reports. You then go into the Access options and Current Database. You choose Switchboard to open when the database is opened. When the database is opened in runtime, you will see all the 'buttons' that are available. You can also choose if the user will be able to edit only or add, etc... Good luck!
