Esy way to fill the Update To field in Access update query

    Hi All,

I have been struggling for a long time on this. I receive updated spreadhseets every month. I just want the NEW information, so I use an update query. But I have upwards of 20 fields to update. So I am manually having to fill out the update to: fields. I know back in the early 2000s this was easy. Since then, I have found there is no way to block match the fields of the one table to the fields of the updated table.

    can you help?

Tell us more about your table to be updated and
    the incoming spreadsheet(s).
    What is the table design?
What are the fields in the spreadsheet(s)?
What is the query involved? SQL?
