Breaking a large table into smaller tables using the make table query

In the attached MS Access zipped file are two queries that are making a new table from the larger table.

First I am only at the query stage. How do I use the make table query in MS Access 2016. It is not as clear as it is in MS access 2010?

The second question is why does the output look like it does? The number are no longer in the order the larger table had them in, but
they seem to be jumbled again.

When this was imported from an Excel spreadsheet, I had to put in an index in the first column that I used on the table once it was imported
into MS Access to order the table values from 1 to ....

That worked as a post import trick to get the rows reorder again, but now they are back in the original jumbled form after I break the main table down into smaller tables.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

Now this is for Access 2016.

All the tutorials before 2016 show the make table button next to the make query button. It is not that way MS Access 2016. That is why I posted the question. I have the cell order issue the first part of the post figured out, but I just do not see how to make a table from the query. It is different in MS Access 2016.

Thanks so much for your help.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

suggest provide a screenshot of your query design ribbon. According to this link, it should be there for 2016

Using Access 2010. Do not see MAKE TABLE next to MAKE QUERY. There is no MAKE QUERY button. There are: SELECT, MAKE TABLE, APPEND. UPDATE, CROSSTAB, DELETE

Again, records in table do not have intrinsic order. If you want to maintain the same order in the extract then you will need the same index field.
