    the database your are trying to open need a newer version of Microsoft Access

    Dear All
    I designed a database in access 365 but it not work in access 2013,2016 . the access show this message " the database your are trying to open need a newer version of Microsoft Access"


    can I solve this problem , regards

    Under the "File" menu there will be a Save As - save the database as a 2013 version.

    I've seen the message when using a datatype not supported in earlier versions

    For example the large number datatype is only available in recent versions of Access 2016

    Solution is to change to e.g. Double
    Colin, Access MVP, Website, email
