    (1) Make copy of DB for developer to make changes later.
    (2) Split DB
    (3) Maybe encrypt
    (4) Lockdown DB nav and ribbon controls, and disable shift key (however, still circumventable with one method)
    (5) Make the frontend an executable "*.accde" instead of what it is "*.accdb"



    There is more like setting close functions if things are accessed out of order and so forth but another discussion itself.

    don't know how to get them back.
    Go to file>Options>Current Database and tick display document tabs.

    When in development, generally easier to use overlapping windows, then you can see tables/queries/forms etc side by side

    Thank you for the help

    I figured it out. It was a problem with the field validation problem the field that would not populate needed the indexed box marked. No sure why it worked but it does.
