Custom format for phone#

How do I create a custom format for users to input phone numbers? I've formatted the field for number input, but I want to further customize it for phone numbers. I haven't used Access for about 9 years and have gotten quite rusty. I can't find a predefined format in the available options, and when I try to create a custom format, I get the message that that wizard is only available for date & time formats. I've tried searching the help files but can't find what I'm looking for.

I would invest in an Access2007 text book; available from Amazon or any big box book store. You get more immediate answers with that reference at your fingertips.

In a field/control's property; one of the properties is 'Input Mask' - press the ... button on the right and it opens the premade masks - one of which is telephone format.

I think I was able to do what you're looking for. Take a look at the Input Mask of the Phone Number field on the Form of this DB. . .

I may have to do that. I haven't used Access for about 8 or 9 years. The last time was with Access 97. There has been quite a change since then and I'm pretty rusty. But I want to get back into it again so I'm just putting together a simple database for home right now just to become familiar with it again.
