Edit a table in a query by renaming the query?

Random question, and I doubt Access has this kind of logic, but is there a way to edit a table that's used in a query (SQL based) by editing the name of the query?

I'd like to somehow link part of the query name to the table needed or associated with that query, rather than copying and pasting multiple queries and going through one by one and editing as need be.

I'm just a little lazy and was looking for a shortcut (it's Friday)

Is this even possible in any type of SQL database?

Not in the way I suspect you're thinking about it. The question implies a potential normalization issue. What do the different tables contain (ie, why are there multiple)?

Oh man, it's a bit complicated.

Short version: I work in a psych lab and everyone here is a statistician, so every possible variable (2 of 3 variables, 4 or 5, whatever) needs to be calculated (means, standard deviations, zScores) and sequenced (what happened in these X to Y seconds, how does this compare to Y to Z seconds) under a hell of a lot of different circumstances for about 15 different tables, each with ~500000 rows, across 10 columns. And then some of this has to be cross analyzed against other data sets.

And sadly, I can't simplify things into a long SQL statement because they need to see every step that takes place and analyze the data accordingly.

    I tell ya, PhDs...

Don't worry, I've already done all the work. I was just curious.
