Thanks, you wouldn't want to create the entire database for me would you? haha

You might not really be interested, but I thought it might help someone else in the future reading this. Like you said nothing seemed to keep the focus on the opened application even API. Not really sure why this is the case. But in the end, the best method I could find to put the focus on Word, or any application that I open from Access was to minimize Access.
I put this one simple line after opening Word or Excel. I just have to see which way the end users prefer the best.
    Code:
    DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdAppMinimize
    Thanks again for the help.

    Welcome again.
FWIW, I tried that - didn't work. Not sure at what point that was, and any number of variables could have changed after that attempt. At one point, I wondered if it would never work as long as I had the vb editor open since I've experienced issues that seemed to be affected by that, as if it were another instance of Access. Believe me when I say I tried everything I could Google on it, and nothing worked as I figured you would want. Often, the proposed solutions had no effect. Really surprised me that the Dev Ashish solution didn't work either, even when I changed the form to a popup, which is apparently what is required.

you wouldn't want to create the entire database for me would you?

Lol, I don't blame you! Sounds like you went through a lot headache to make this work. Anyway, I'll stop bugging you, and leave you to your next problem to solve!
