    Cafeteria tracking system design

    Hi,
I want to develop a cafeteria tracking system using Access & VB. Below are my requirements.
Users will key in food details in the system which will can be generated as reports for breakfast, lunch, dinner etc. into a excel file.

    1. Users will key in their employee id (unique#), password set option to be available (password set, reset, unlock features for Admin)
Multiple Admin profile can be provided.
    2. On entering employee id, User name, project details will be displayed.
    3. User will select (Breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, midnight snacks, drinks) from the drop down to indicate when are they taking food.
    4. User will be allowed maximum 28 entries in a month for drinks, system will not allow if exceeded

    5. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, midnight snacks cannot be taken twice for a same employee id.

Can this be done in Access using VB script?

    Please help. Thanks a lot.

    Welcome to the board.

In short, yes it can be done. However, if this is for a business/school or for anything where this will be available for auditing or will have to incorporate existing IT/security procedures, or... well basically if its something where if it breaks you can get fired, I highly suggest you get professional help for it.

If its just for fun, practice, or anything of the sort, feel free to ask us specific questions when you come across issues in your development. Walking you through something that complicated though probably isnt something anyone here will be able to do.

yes very possible as TShabz have rightly pointed out, I would recommend you to start your project and then post any specific problem that you may face during development. You are most welcome to do that.
