Unhappy Populate field from combo box with description, not ID number

I have set up 2 combo boxes to populate fields in the table. When I go to the table, it is displaying the ID numbers of the information, rather than the name of the information. How can I change how the text is displayed in the cells in the table column? Extreme Access newbie so any step by step information would be very appreciated!

Sounds like the bound column of the combobox is set to 1. Check settings of the combobox and see.

Combo boxes have fields/values, bound number, number of field, field widths, etc. These all can affect what is displayed in the combo box when you pull down the list as well as what gets saved inside the table. In your example, if you want to just display the description and save that to the table, you can remove the ID column from the combo box, change number of fields to 1, and change the width to remove the 2nd value. Or if you want both fields to show inside the combo box when you pull down the list, then as andy40 said, change the bound field value to 2.

I already have it set to 1. Here is some of how I have it set up. And the 2nd photo is how it's being displayed. I would like the form the name to populate in the table.

If this is the table view, that's the way it works. The key is stored. Users shouldn't be looking at the table anyway - they should look at forms and reports.
As your first photo shows, you can display the name on a form using a combobox.
