Looks like BorderStyle and BackStyle properties have been set to Transparent.
The page tabs are selectable, just can't really see which is selected without some controls on each page.
Why can't you see/change properties? Can't you open the Properties Sheet?

Hi June, Thanks for the reply,
The back style: normal, back color: Background 1, Darker 15%, border style: solid
When I put controls the tabs are selectable put they just appear as plan text and there's no change when you hover over them, when I click the text then the right form appears.
The only way I could replicate the issue was to set those properties as Transparent.
So, build a new tab control and see if you get the same issue.

I see color settings for the tab control and some other controls that have settings like Text1, lighter 25% or Background1, Darker 15% I have no idea what these mean, is it possible to have something more meaningful like color codes
Yes, select the property then click on the ellipsis (...).

Hi Junel, I understand that, what I wanted to know was, is it possible to see a color instead of these Background1, Darker 15%, which means nothing to me - are there people that see a color or theme when they see Background1, Darker 15% - where can I check these themes?
Not understanding what you mean by 'see a color or theme'. How is using these descriptive color constants really different from using a code like #FFFFFF (the hex for 'Background1', RGB is 255,255,255 and decimal 16777215)? How is the code 'more meaningful'? What do you mean by 'check'? If you want to see what the color looks like then set textbox BackColor property.
