    How to rename a linked table which link to ODBC

    When create the linked table to ODBC, it automatically create the name with user name like abc_tablename. How to rename as tablename ? thanks

    Right click on the table in the navigation pane and select Rename.

    Thanks for the reply. But I did not see "table" and "rename" on toolbar. This is converted from an existing Access 97 app, and I can't right click on the linked table,
    any idea? thanks.

    I didn't say toolbar, I said Navigation Pane. You are using 2007, correct? Hit F11 to get the Nav Pane, then see attached.

    sorry, I mean navigation pane, when I click on the linked table, I am not able to right click , dunno if it is because of converted from other version?
    separately , do you know how to automatically enable the content? now when I open the file, it show msg that not run in disabled mode, and I have to go to security option to enable to content. Thanks in advance.

    Not sure about the right-click; I've always been able to do it.

    To automatically enable content, the db must be in a "Trusted Location". That is set in:

    Office Button/Access Options/Trust Center/Trust Center Settings/Trusted Locations
