    In the header, sure. Or maybe in a MainForm/SubForm arrangement. I don't use datasheet view myself. I used Continuous Form View and created my own sorting buttons.

    What exactly is wrong with what you have?

    I converted to a Split form. It shows qualifying records at the top and the specific selected record in the form at bottom.

    I played with your dB a little.
    Hover the cursor over the labels (Phase, Task, ...)

    Click on a label (for instance Phase), click on it again, then click on Start......
