Accessing the report design from an "idiot proof" report

I am trying to get into the design area of an Access Report that I did not create. When I open the report, it automatically goes to the screen that allows you to run it. How do I get to the report design screens?

Have you tried holding down the shift key while opening the database to by-pass the start-up options, which may be preventing you from doing that?

That doesn't seem to be working. Access is a very hard thing to try to teach yourself.

I would have to see the database. If you could attach it, I can take a look.
