Calculated sum in subform not visible in the subform footer but displays in main form.

    Hello all,

New to the forms and looking for a little help. I have a text box in my subform footer that sums a column in the subform. I can't for the life of me get it to display; however, I know it is calculating correctly because when I reference it in the main form it displays perfectly fine. The subform footer visible is set to yes. The main form default view is single form. My google efforts come up with how to display a calculated field in a subform on the main form. I don't have a problem with that and it works fine. Something simple I'm sure, any help would be appreciated. Attached pic is in form view and shows the calculated field (DonationAmt) in subform. Equals 1250 which displays fine in the mainform but not the subform footer...

It won't display because the subform is set for Datasheet view. Options:

    1. Set subform as Continuous and arrange controls to look like Datasheet

    2. With form in Form view click into the subform and then click Sigma on the ribbon. This will open the Total row in the subform. Select Sum function under the DonationAmt field.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

How do I set the subform to continuous? Is there a way to do this or do I need to recreate the subform in form wizard?
