Forms - Dual Language Support - Help Needed

    Hi

First, I am extremely inexperienced in access and VBA, so please bear with me!

I live in Thailand and am trying to develop a billing application for the condo that I live in.

The people that will use the system will be either Thai speaking or English speaking and I had hoped to facilitate this by allowing the current user to toggle between English and Thai when interacting with the various forms. The actual data input will always use the latin character set.

I am finding that although I can amend the text properties of any particular control to Thai script, when the form is displayed the output bears no resemblance to the actual Thai script that I coded.

I have tried changing the forms font control to other fonts such as arial unicode (which I thought had Thai script support), but this doesn't work.

If I had any hair left I would be tearing it out now, so any advice or better yet, an answer to my problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Just a quick update.

If I hardcode Thai script for a controls caption in a form then it displays correctly.

If I code something like Me.Control.Caption = "ฤฎณ๊" it will not display correctly.

    Thanks

I have no experience with the material at this multi language link, but it seems quite thorough and may give you some insight.

    Good luck.

Thanks for that, but that deals exclusively with Roman / Latin based character sets. My problems is altering from the original to another character set.

I understand the issue. I do not have direct experience with different language character sets. My best advice is to look for a user group/website that features MS Access in Europe, Russia, Far East where this situation is more likely to be a common issue.

I found a couple of links that have some general non-Access info

    https://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/chars.html
    https://www.experts-exchange.com/que...in-Access.html

When you post same issue on different forums, please advise readers that you have done so and provide a link to the other post(s).
