Link Two Database - Is it possible?

    Hello,

I want to know is it possible to link 2 database
I am having a problem because my database size has exceeded the limit of 2 GB
let me explain my exact problem

I store documents as attachments with transactions in a table (I do not want to store those documents separately in a folder and give a link)
I want to create a separate database which is linked with main database where only the attachments will be stored which are linked to the transactions made in main database.

    Is this possible to do?

If so, can I be guided how can I do that.

    Yes, you can do that.

Make a copy of your current db. Delete what you don't need in each.
Use External Data utility to set link in the primary db to table with attachments in other db.

How long did it take you to fill up the 2GB? Have you run Compact and Repair?

second time I've come across attachments in one day haha.

Just as a note: you don't have to provide that link to the attachment. The link can be generated via VBA and assigned to a button for that record. As far as the user knows it could be stored on the DB or anywhere.
