    You guys are too kind, but it's almost Christmas so I'll take it.
    @alansidman, I suspect that one of those other forums you allude to is Mr. Excel where you are a valuable contributor. My only complaint over there is that there are not enough Access questions to respond to, but I guess that's to be expected.

    If Accessforums.net has benefited from me at all, it is primarily because of responses I got re: an issue back in 2015 from the likes of Orange, Ajax and rpeare (sp?) where I was trying to get a date value from a stock table that was related to the repair of an item but there was no direct relation between the tables. That was my introduction to subqueries.
