Diagramming the Forms build workflow - a draft attempt

I'd like to know if the forms build workflow can be modeled along the lines of this diagram.

My brain wants a nice sequence of steps to execute.

All the tutorials I watch bounce all around the different components of forms design and it's proving near to impossible for me to weed out the 'don't do the way i just showed you , do it this way instead'.

I've built forms, and some of them have working pieces. But anything that requires a conditional is where I can't figure out how to make all the right bits and then stitch them together.

Does this diagram help anyone to follow my thinking? This is what I think I've learned from all my studying so far. If it's correct, then it feels like I should be pretty close to enlightenment. Especially about those pesky variables I've been nattering on about in another thread. If it's wrong and someone can explain further, even better. For any useful idea, I'll be grateful beyond words.

I've never used anything like this, except maybe in my head. If it helps you to put it on paper, then use it.

What do you mean by 'requires a conditional' - filtered data for forms and comboboxes?

requires a conditional is about if something is selected or not, or, which something is selected from an option group.

do you have anything in your head about a sequence of design events that you can share? do you do one control at a time, or do you write up all the functions first, or anything like that?

I would probably create form and place the controls I expect are needed then tackle coding one event at a time, making sure it works before moving to next.

Still not sure what you mean be 'requires a conditional' - something like filtering a report based on selection in combobox or option group?

    Maybe this will help http://allenbrowne.com/ser-62.html

I think you're over complicating things but that's just my opinion. Also seems like you'd put in a lot of time just getting a flow chart (?) correct, only to find when you build the form it doesn't do what you thought it would. That makes the plan document obsolete? However, it's not an opinion to say that a textbox has no rowsource property and an optiongroup has no OnChange event so not sure what effect such errors could have on the plan. In those two cases, probably nothing as there are alternatives.

To each their own, I guess but I would not spend the time to create such charts.

I remember diagramming work processes in flow charts in Introduction to Computing 101 about 50 years ago. Surely flow charting still has usefulness in planning but hardly seems worth effort at form design level.
