    cant find the object

    Hi,
I have a form which I get the message "Can't find the object". I changed the table structure for field First_Name to required = No. I then added vba code to check if the a user input a quote I use the instr function. However after a few tests I have have commented out the code and removed the property for this control. So the bottom line is I don't know how to fix this problem. I used google but I haven't found a solution. So I need help. On a side note how can Microsoft put error messages into Access that are very misleading without an apparent solution? This is a rhetorical question.

    Hope you can help.

depends on when/what is throwing the error....I am assuming it is your vb that was checking for the quotes in the instr......

it isn't the change for the table field's property to required (or not) - that won't cause this error.

its probably just a syntax error of your vb.
